Caregiver Resources

Meal Delivery

If you're at least 60 years of age, primarily homebound, unable to prepare meals on your own, and have limited or no mobility, CICOA offers home meal delivery services for those who qualify. CICOA also offers meal locations across Central Indiana.

Food Pantries

Food Pantries are available across Central Indiana to provide a limited amount of food to individuals and
families in need. Availability is geared towards short-term situations. Be sure to contact prior for locations and more information.

Transportation

There are several transportation programs in Central Indiana. Some Some programs have limitations, restrictions, or requirements. CICOA provides basic needs transportation via their Way2Go program as well a list of transportation options available.

Subsidized Rental Housing

Numerous complexes and communities with subsidized housing are available for those with low income and/or disabilities. The rent is usually based on gross income with adjustments made for medical expenses, insurance, etc.

Grant Funding

We believe that in order to provide excellent service to our community, we must start by supporting our team of Care and Wellness Advocates. We are thrilled to announce that Hoosier Family Supportive Living has been selected as a recipient of the Direct Service Provider Investment Grant. This funding will enable us to attract and retain skilled Advocates by providing sign-on bonuses, retention bonuses, and more competitive pay rates. These efforts will help to stabilize our workforce, reduce turnover, and continue providing the high level of care to which we are committed.

Policy Updates & Community Engagement

The Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has ended the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) for COVID-19, effective May 11, 2023.

This means that Medicaid benefits will no longer automatically re-new without verification of address and income. Don't lose your Medicaid coverage! Take action to ensure your information is up-to-date by Managing Your Medicaid Benefits.
